Can you introduce yourself in a few words…
My name's Brian and I'm a 30-year-old artist living and working in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. I wanted to become a writer but I somehow slipped into art and could't be happier!
How would you describe your creative universe ?
My creative universe is all about shape and colour. I like the fact that my art is simple but still recognisable. Making art is therapeutic for me, and I want transfer the positive energy that it gives me to the observer.
Where does your inspiration come from ?
I'm inspired by a lot of 20th century artists like Henri Matisse, John Baldessari, Willem de Kooning, Helen Frankenthaler, and Jean Arp. But music, films, and walks through nature can also be very inspiring!
What is the project you dream of making happen?
A solo exhibition in New York City would be amazing.
What are you working on right now ?
A few great clothing collaborations and exhibitions are coming up. Also, I'm trying to develop a new style of abstract painting that I'll hopefully be sharing with the world soon.
